Vineyard Loop Trail Ride

If you’re short on time or new to the saddle, this 7km loop is the perfect introduction to horseback riding. Experience the trail like never before—under the glow of the moon. Contrary to what you might think, it’s perfectly safe; horses have exceptional night vision and navigate the familiar paths with ease. It’s a quiet, mystical experience that kids absolutely love. To add to the fun, we provide glow sticks for the little ones to decorate themselves (or their horses!) as we ride through the dark.

Picnic With Ponies Trail Ride

FAQ & Preparation

I’ve never ridden a horse before. Is that okay?

Absolutely! We specialize in “first-timers” and nervous riders. Our horses are calm, experienced trail veterans who know these paths by heart. Before we head out, our guides will give you a basic safety briefing and show you the ropes so you feel confident in the saddle.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfort is key for a great ride! We recommend:

Long pants: Jeans or leggings are best to prevent saddle chafing.
Closed-toe shoes: Sturdy sneakers or boots (no flip-flops, please!).
Sun protection: Sunscreen. We provide riding hats.
A light jacket: Especially for the Moonlight Ride, as it can get chilly once the sun goes down.
A Camera: You’ll definitely want to capture the views!

Are there any age or weight restrictions?

To ensure the comfort and well-being of our horses, we have a weight limit of 85kg. Children are more than welcome! For the Moonlight Ride, kids especially love the magic of the glow sticks—we usually recommend ages 8+ for that specific experience.

How does the "Picnic with Ponies" work?

If you’ve selected a picnic option, we take care of everything. While you are out on your ride (or arriving for your session), we set up a beautiful spot in one of our grazing paddocks. You’ll be able to enjoy your meal while our resident horses graze and interact naturally around you. It’s a very peaceful, “unplugged” experience.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather is looking unsafe for either the riders or the horses (heavy rain or high winds), we will contact you as early as possible to reschedule your booking.
