a family legacy, born from a special pony
Perdletiek/Equinastix is more than a riding school; it is a family’s devotion to the horse. Run by two sisters and a young daughter, our name celebrates the “Equine Athlete”—from the Afrikaans Perd and Atletiek to the English Equine and Gymnastics.
The seed of Perdletiek: Chilli’s Story
Our logo isn’t just a design; it’s a memory. It was drawn from a photograph of our daughter at seven years old with her pony, Chilli. Chilli was one of our very first rescues and the “seed” that planted the vision for what we do today.
Though we lost Chilli to African Horse Sickness (AHS), her spirit lives on in every horse we rescue and every student we teach. Because of her, we are dedicated advocates for AHS awareness, providing resources and support to help other owners face this devastating disease.
Versetality is our strength
We don’t believe in sticking to just one discipline. To keep our riders and horses engaged and well-rounded, we do it all:
- Western Mounted Games & Jumping for speed, skill and rhythm.
- Dressage & Flatwork for balance and communication.
- Cross Country & Trail Riding for adventure, spirit, and fun.
From happy hackers enjoying the scenery to students mastering the technicality of the sport, we build versatile riders who strive to understand the heart of the horse.
